Morning or Night Bus to Tana Toraja

A Bus ride to Tana Toraja can be done with daily morning or night bus which start from Makassar Bus Terminal. The bus ride will take 9 to 10 hours and they do make several stops on the way. I can say that the bus ride from Makassar to Tana Toraja is one of the most comfortable bus ride I ever enjoy in the entire archipelago. A very good suspension and comfortable seat, make the trip very enjoyable.

To take the bus to Tana Toraja, make sure you have book the ticket in advance because sometimes the bus can be fully booked during holiday seasson or high season in June till August. If you arrived in Makassar by flight, you can take a Taxi in Makassar Airport to Bus Terminal for only 30 minutes ride (Only use Bosowa Taxi with Valid Meters, other Flat Rate taxi can be very expensive and the driver sometimes is not driving very safe). If you are coming by PELNI Ships, it will take you 1 hour to drive to the Terminal.

A recommendation for you if you are traveling 3 Pax and above. We advice you to get a Private Tour or Car Rental from Makassar instead took a Bus to Tana Toraja.
